Dr. T
The owner, Dr. Theresa Dwyer, the “Dr. T” of Dr. T’s Equine Clinic,
graduated with a veterinary degree from Texas A&M University in 1980 and
then went to one of the largest breeding farms in the nation to assist with
breeding. While at the prestigious Buena Suerte Ranch in Roswell, New
Mexico she assisted in breeding over 1000 mares (in a year) to the famous
“Easy Jet”. In addition to breeding, the farm had a successful veterinary
and surgery practice.
She then transferred to become the resident veterinarian in La Grange,
Texas for a QH/TB facility where she developed a large equine practice. She
then moved to Bell County in 1992 to establish Dr. T’s Equine Clinic and the
rest is history.
Although Dr. T enjoys all aspects of equine medicine, her favorite part is
breeding. She has been involved in horse training, breeding, and showing
competitively throughout her life. Her favorite hobby and special interest is
seeing her daughter Taylor do the same. She is passionate about her
business because she loves helping make her client’s dreams come true.
