I was born and raised in Central Texas. As for employment, there is not much
I didn’t do over the years (except maybe plumbing and electrical). I quit
school in the ninth grade, but returned in 1986 to get my GED. I then got my
cosmetology license. I worked in several beauty shops before opening one that
I owned and operated for ten years. After suffering severe burn out, I closed
my shop and went to work for Union State Bank in Florence, TX. I worked at
the bank for six years. Then Dr. T gave me the opportunity to work in the
field of my dreams.

I have had horses most of my life. Dr. T was my veterinarian and friend long
before I was given the opportunity to work for her. I have been employed at
Dr. T’s for almost three years. I love being an equine technician. There are
some heart-breaking experiences when a horse just can’t be fixed, but for the
most part there is the joy of watching a horse get better every day.  I really
enjoy working with the doctors, and am proud to be part of Dr. T’s team.

My husband and I raise quarter horses and children. Between us we have
seven children, twenty three grandchildren (with the possibility of more to
come) and twenty eight cow bred quarter horses. My passion is riding cutting
horses. After taking a break from showing for two years, I plan to return to
the cutting pen in January.
